Put it on the Riz

Yesterday I was in a conversation with someone and she told me she was refreshing her music folder on her laptop. I thought maybe it was a good idea to do the same thing. It was almost like being in an vinyl store. Fortunately, there's no such a thing as digital dust, haha.

I can't remember how I got this one, but I came across a mix by DJ Riz with originals sampled in Hip-hop tracks. Know and love your originals is what I'm saying, so check out Live From Brooklyn part 1 & 2.

What's the scenario?

A Tribe Called Quest live on stage at The Knitting Factory on January 20th this year. They should bring out an album again. This sh** is crazy!

I want one

Yesterday I was on Twitter and saw a tweet from my homie DJ Syte that simply said "I want one" with just a link included. It made me curious and this is what I found out. Thanks Syte, for keeping me updated!

"Madlib Medicine Show No. 1 will be released on limited-edition vinyl, each hand-screened by the printing crew Hit+Run with artwork from Stones Throw's Jeff Jank (if you visit his site, point your mouse at one of the cat's eyes) and illustrator Gustavo Eandi."

Don't hate.. Collaborate

Henning and Jeejaa, also beatcreators/producers, also from Arnhem. I know this guys for a while now and we talked about working together for a long time. Last week we finally did a collabo. After a short session we decided to continue to collaborate, so keep your ears open for one or more productions. I'll keep you posted.

For 2010 you can expect some Jeejaa productions. Henning is on 22 Tracks now. You should check out his 2009 EP Dejima. He's working on some new stuff as we speak. And I will drop a beattape. Soon more updates and info.
